Centenary Dragon Boat Race.
A Trinity House Crew will take part in this event.
Date: Tuesday, 12 May 2009
Venue: Docklands Sailing & Watersports Centre, 235a Westferry Road, Millwall Dock, Isle of Dogs, London, E14 3QS
Timetable: Races: 3 pm to 7 pm
Post race barbeque: 7 pm to 9 pm
Boat crews: Each boat must have a crew of 10, plus someone to bang the drum and keep the rowers in time
Event format: We expect that there will be two heats, one minor final and a major final. Each team will get at least two races.
Spectators: We are happy for spectators to attend and to join the post race barbeque. We do need pre-advice of numbers and ask that each spectator makes a contribution of £15 to the cost of food.
